If you like an interesting experience this is the place. A sweet elderly lady runs the bar, and has done for 27 years. Provides good drinks, sake and simple food like curry and rice. A great place to go as a group, she has a top notch karaoke setup aswell! Expect to use google translate to communicate with her.
One of the best accidental destinations on our trip to Japan. It was “Sumo night”. Enjoyed terrific hospitality, excellent cocktails and with the help of Google Translate we learned all about Sumo.…It’s possible that every night is Sumo night. But don’t let me ruin it for you.

We came across this place looking for a bar to have a beer. The owner is the funniest, loveliest lady! She gave is a little starter with our drink and a lively conversation. We would love to come back ☺️ Thank you!! Mr and Mrs Bear

日光の老舗スナック３年ぶりの訪問でも以前と変わらず気さくに迎え入れてくれました。旅行者に優しい、歌とおしゃべりの上手な文ママです。お腹がすいたらお食事も作ってくれます。

The owner, Ah-nya, (and I’m probably totally spelling that wrong) was the sweetest! She has a limited, but perfect, menu. The space is small, which is cozy and great for a small group awaiting their train! Highly recommend!
