My wife and I stayed here and we had an excellent time. It’s a gorgeous house with traditional tatami floors. The host, Mari, is a very kind woman. We enjoyed talking with her about many different topics. Mari also speaks English well, which can make travel in Gifu difficult for some foreigners but fortunately we were able to clearly understand each other. The house is located near Tajimi station and is within walking distance if you aren’t bringing much luggage. Around the house there are many restaurants and ceramic shops as well as a few cafes. If you want to feel what traditional Japanese life is like, I highly recommend staying here.

ほんとに素晴らしい滞在でした。ホストのまりこさんとお話できる機会もあり、楽しい時間を過ごせました。日本の古き良き伝統のお家の雰囲気で、日本旅行が初めての旦那も感動しっぱなしでした。お家の周辺には、たくさんの陶器屋さんや、レストランがあり、歩いてその地域を楽しむことができます。質問があった際は、素早く返信してくださり、とてもありがたかったです。 最近の新しいお家では、フローリングの床と、ベッドでの睡眠が増えているかと思いますが、畳に敷いたお布団で伝統的な雰囲気を味わいたい方に是非おすすめしたい滞在先です！
