上ワタリの特徴
大山の登山道からアクセスできる至便な場所です。
夏山登山道と阿弥陀堂皆で、静かな森のトレッキングが楽しめます。
上ワタリから大山寺へは僧兵ルートの道を利用できます。
大山寺〜夏山登山道の間にある道です。かつては僧兵の通った道でしょうか。川を石伝いにして渡るような格好になるので、増水時は注意が必要です。
大山の登山道からいけます。が、途中道なくなってるので迷わないようにお気をつけください。

周辺のオススメ
When I was getting down from Misen peak I wanted to check out daisenji temple. Just before I reached the Natsuyama trailhead there is the Amidado temple. From here there is a direct route to daisenji temple via a route called 'sohei' route. It's a nice forest trail. If you follow that trail you will end up at this upper river crossing point. In june, the volume of the stream wasn't much at all and I could cross it even without getting wet. It's a nice spot to enjoy the sound of stream. Daisenji lies just a few mins of walk on the other side.
