SUNDAY peace room 中島 #24の特徴
清掃が行き届いたアパートで、必要なアメニティが揃っていました。
2部屋の大きなダブルベッドで家族全員がリラックスできました。
平和記念資料館まで徒歩1分、立地条件が抜群です。
Great location and size of rooms. It is not a b and b- just a hotel room. It has a great kitchen area and sleeping rooms with comfy beds. Excellent location to everything we wanted to see. Staff were not on sight but were responsive when asked questions within a half day. Would recommend this place for sure!Only issue was traffic noise at night.
We visited in the winter of 2024. The flat we rented had several double beds and a sofa bed. Good instructions were provided for visitors in both English and Japanese.The facilities are quite old. The apartment was not insulated at all and you could hear a lot of noise from the road. This is not uncommon for Japanese buildings, but we were surprised to see the aircon units set to the max temperature when we arrived. They were clearly not functioning and the apartment was extremely cold.We tried to troubleshoot and improve the situation, but to no avail. We made do with a space heater that hardly helped at all. Unfortunately the apartment was not well cleaned - dirt was obvious in many places, the provided cups and glasses were dusty and the bathroom walls had clear mold on them.The temperature and lack of upkeep severely impacted our stay and we would not choose this apartment again. Having previously lived in old Japanese houses, I would have to say I do not consider the indoors temperature normal and having to depend on a space heater is quite dangerous. I cannot recommend this apartment due to this.

Our family of five had a wonderful one-night stay at Sunday Peace Apartment Hiroshima (Room 302). If your main purpose is visiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome, I genuinely believe this is one of the best budget-friendly locations you can choose.Before our arrival, the management sent very clear and detailed self-check-in instructions. Retrieving the key from the locker using the provided combination was straightforward, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. The building also has an elevator, which made carrying luggage much easier.The apartment itself was simple, spacious, clean, and very functional. We comfortably stayed as a family of five (two adults, two teenage sons aged 14 and 12, and our 8-year-old daughter). The two separate bedrooms with large double beds gave everyone enough space to relax after a long day of sightseeing.The apartment was spotless, with a clean bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine, quality towels, toothbrushes, slippers, and all the essential amenities required for a comfortable stay. There is also a balcony and an emergency escape route, adding to the overall practicality of the apartment.We visited during an extremely hot summer day, and the air conditioners in both rooms worked perfectly, cooling the apartment quickly and making our stay very comfortable.The location is outstanding. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is literally about a one-minute walk away. Standing outside the building, you can easily see the museum to your right. Lawson convenience store is directly opposite the apartment, making it very convenient for snacks, drinks, and daily essentials. Excellent internet speed as well.Transportation is also excellent. The nearest bus stop is less than five minutes away, and buses 24 and 25 provide a direct connection to Hiroshima Station in around 15–20 minutes. There is also a tram stop within about a 10-minute walk that offers another direct route to Hiroshima Station without needing to change lines.Another pleasant surprise was how walkable everything is. Motoyasu Pier is only a few minutes away, making the riverside area enjoyable for a peaceful evening stroll.For Muslim travellers, several halal food options are available within approximately a 10-minute walk, which was a great convenience for our family.Overall, Sunday Peace Apartment offers outstanding value for money. It is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, clean, and perfectly located for exploring Hiroshima’s most important historical attractions. Although our stay was short, our entire family thoroughly enjoyed it. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to families as well as anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable base in Hiroshima.
