The Yidadoh YinrokisLocation 552 Ukai-cho, Fuchu City, Hiroshima PrefectureThis temple is called "Arimado-Do" and was also called "Oki-no-Do" in the Genroku period (1688-1704).It is said to have been built in the 11th year of the Kan'ei Era (during the reign of the third Tokugawa Shogun) by a local resident, Daizo Arima, as a memorial service for his mother.Inside the building are tablets with the following inscription on them.Minami-Amida-butsu: A hall was erected by the donor, Takako Arima Daizo, on the 13th day of the 7th month of the Kijun Era, in honor of his mother. Kijun July 13, KeihakuThe Amida Hall, built beside the road, was used as a place for travelers to rest for a time.In the Hirotani area, after rice planting, the water from the five villages' canals had to be drained to obtain sufficient water, so many farmers from the town of Hirotani went to the area to drain the canals. The farmers used to go out to draw water, and this area became a favorite resting place for them. The present building was reconstructed on September 1, 1922 with donations from all residents of Ukai-cho and 70 residents of Hirotani who used the Ayatadoh Hall as a resting place for water-drawing.In December 1989, the replacement of the roof, which had been noticeably damaged in recent years, was completed with the donation of a group of local residents and other caretakers.Hinai Jizoson Festival CeremonyAccording to an ancient legend, the believers and worshippers of Jizoson were mostly from the Ukai area. Usui Jizoson is located on a small piece of land and faces the Jukan (return residence), and the ritual puja is held on August 24 (July 24 on the lunar calendar) every year, but it is a long way to get there and it is also the season of extreme heat.Since both halls are under the jurisdiction of Jyofuku-ji Temple, the principal image was moved to the Amida Hall, and the priest of Jyofuku-ji Temple temporarily performed the ritual. Before the war, many believers used to visit the temple and hold Bon Odori (Bon dance) to comfort the spirits of their ancestors and deepen the friendship among the townspeople. As in the past, the main image is moved to the Amida Hall, and many believers visit the shrine to pray for the development of Ukai and the prosperity of local industries, and to enjoy small talk.Pilgrims are encouraged to pray as follows."On, Kakabi, Sanmayi, Sowaka.""Namu rokudo nouka jizo zonin."
