Wonderful little place! My mother and I stumbled upon it and they had a really wonderful selection of plus sized clothes which was really really exciting!! The lady there was so sweet and it made my entire day.
I love love love Metamorphose Kyoto!!!!!!!!!!!The staff here are super friendly and helpful.Their sense of fashion is high and I think they always display the new dresses in very cute combinations that even the official Metamorphose photos didn't think of doing in their official promotional photos :)There were dresses that I only decided to buy after seeing how the staff displayed it in the store. The official photos paired the JSK with a black blouse, but the Kyoto branch displayed photos of the dress paired with a white blouse, which made me fall in love with the dress.A few years back I pre-ordered a dress here through twitter in japanese, and although the outfit I wanted was completely booked/sold out of preorders they put me in a back order list where I was able to purchase the full coord due to someone else cancelling their order! I was super duper happy and thankful to the staff as it was a dream coord of mine to own.I came back October 2025 on vacation to look at their blouses since I wanted a new black blouse.I consulted with the staff and they brought out all the options and let me take pictures of each option to return the next day after deciding which one to purchase. They even recommended me blouses according to my personal concerns! (I live in a hot and humid country and I was looking for options that are good to wear in the summer.)When I came back the next day to complete my purchase, I ended up buying a JSK along with my blouse and they were kind enough to wait for me to walk over to an ATM to withdraw more cash.To any foreigners looking to try lolita fashion, please consider Metamorphose! They have Plus size for pretty much everything as well, which most lolita brands do not offer.The store is on the 2nd floor, its a small but very cute store :) I will definitely visit again.店員さん最高です！！！！大好き！！！！！！いつもありがとうございます！
I didn't realize there was a Meta shop in Kyoto, so when I saw the logo of my favorite brand while wandering Nishiki Market, I was shocked! I went up to the shop on the second floor, and the staff member was really sweet and helpful, all while wearing a really cute coord! I only speak a tiny bit of Japanese, and the staff member only spoke a tiny bit of English, but she was so helpful in finding the accessories I was looking for, plus helped me find a wonderful all seasons blouse with shirring. I felt so welcomed here even with the language barrier, and it really proved that Metamorphose is my favorite for a reason 🧡
家族で、訪れ、娘のために、いろいろ選んでいただきました😀娘もめちゃくちゃ喜んで、楽しかったみたいです😃また、きたいて言ってます😄店員さん最高👍
I had a wonderful experience shopping here! The staff member on 21 feb 2025 was wonderfully warm, and hospitably helped me pick out items, enthusiastically meeting me halfway in terms of the language barrier. I really appreciated that as I know it can be hard work. I was really nervous how much of an issue that would be shopping for egl in Japan, so thank you meta for a great first experience!! Also I love that they have a really inclusive size range and can give tallitas a home 🥹
