大神宮：大神宮は元々、青蓮院の坊官である鳥居小路家の旧宅地の鎮護神でしたが、勧請された時期は不明です。鳥居小路家の先祖は高階師尚と云い、師尚の母が伊勢の斎宮であったときに在原業平と密通してできた子供でした。この為お伊勢さんのお怒りに触れてその子孫が伊勢に参宮しようとしても、途中で病気になったり、災難にあったりして参宮することができませんでした。そこで大神宮を宅地内に奉斎して参詣するようになったとのことです。その後、明治になって当社の境内に遷座されました。現在は八幡神と春日神が両脇に配されています。（粟田神社HPより）Daijingu:Daijingu was originally the guardian deity of the former residence of the Torii Koji family, priests of Shoren-in Temple, but it is unknown when it was enshrined. The ancestor of the Torii Koji family was Takashina Shisho, whose mother had an affair with Ariwara no Narihira when he was Saigū (Saigū) at Ise. This incurred the wrath of Ise Shrine, and even when his descendants tried to visit Ise, they were unable to do so due to falling ill or suffering misfortune along the way. As a result, it is said that Daijingu was enshrined within the residence's grounds and people began making pilgrimages there. Later, in the Meiji period, it was moved to the grounds of our shrine. Currently, Hachiman and Kasuga are placed on either side. (From the Awata Shrine website)
