三条小鍛冶の古跡の特徴
刀剣好きには訪れる価値がある、三条小鍛冶の古跡です。
平安中期の刀匠・宗近ゆかりの地で歴史を感じます。
16時までの開館時間に注意が必要、事前確認がおすすめです。
駒札：三条小鍛冶の古跡（さんじょうこかじのこせき）宗近は平安中期の刀匠で姓は橘、信濃守粟田藤四郎と号し、東山粟田口三条坊に住したので三条小鍛冶とも称した。名刀子狐丸をはじめ幾多の刀剣を造ったが、現存するものとして三日月宗近などがある。祇園祭の長刀鉾の鉾頭の長刀は、宗近が娘の疫病治癒を感謝して鍛造し祇園社に奉納したものといわれ、特に有名である。拾遺都名所図会によると、佛光寺本廟境内に刀剣を鋳るときに用いた井水があったといわれる。（拾遺都名所図会では知恩院山門の傍とある）なお、粟田口鍛冶町にある粟田神社境内に鍛冶社があり、また神狐の合槌によって名刀を鍛えたと伝えられる合槌稲荷社が粟田口中ノ町にある。京都市（以上現地駒札より）Charm: Sanjo Kokaji no KosekiMunechika was a swordsmith from the mid-Heian period, surnamed Tachibana, and known as Shinano no Kami Awata Toushirou. He lived in Sanjobo, Awataguchi, Higashiyama, so he was also known as Sanjo Kokaji.He made many swords, including the famous sword Kogitsunemaru, but the only surviving swords are the Mikazuki Munechika. The long sword at the head of the Nagato-Hoko float in the Gion Festival is particularly famous, as it is said to have been forged by Munechika and donated to the Gion Shrine in gratitude for his daughter's recovery from an epidemic.According to Shuui Miyako Meisho Zue, there is said to have been a well in the grounds of the Honbyo temple of Bukkoji Temple that was used to cast swords. (The Shuui Miyako Meisho Zue states that it is located next to the Sanmon Gate of Chion-in Temple.)There is also a blacksmith's shrine in the grounds of Awata Shrine in Awataguchi Kajimachi, and the Azuchi Inari Shrine, where it is said that famous swords were forged with the combined hammering of a divine fox, is located in Awataguchi Nakanomachi.Kyoto City(The above is from a local signboard.)
時間をしっかりと調べずに来てしまって、以前は確か17時までだと思い込んでしまって、入れずに帰りましたが、今回は16時までだと知り！16時過ぎてしまいましたが、小入口が開いてて入ってしまいました💦(記憶が正しければ16時だと思います)案内の方かな？失礼ながらもご丁寧に対応してくれて急いで拝見して帰りました🙇🏻♀️
