まず学んで作品を鑑賞してからショップに行く事をお勧めします。左側がその場所です。京都の伝統工芸品が作られるまでの工程や作品の展示かされてて、とても勉強になりました。ショップはNo Photoです。
広くていろいろ買えます😊
とてもきれいなところでした。京都の伝統的な物が売っていました。私は、お財布を買いました。
I loved the experience in this museum. It's like a hidden gemstone in the basement. Try to find an instruction board on the east entrance of Musse. Follow all the way down to the underground structure. Now you can know more about Japanese traditional crafts. More special, there's a lot of things unique to Kyoto only. You can touch and experience some crafts. But look out for the site. There's English video showing the procedure to create Japanese masterpieces. You can expect to see traditional paintings, wood crafts, dyes, kimobo making techniques, weaving, incense, etc.
Kyoto Museum of Craft and Design is a great place to learn about traditional industries of Kyoto. Keep in mind that Kyoto is an innovative city very open to new ideas. Traditional industries have long history, but they are still in development. You can learn a lot and buy some souvenir. The only thing I would complain is that the museum was free entry last year and now needs a ticket.

周辺のオススメ
組み紐を使ったアクセサリーやかるた花札、お香などあって充実。お手頃なものも沢山あり、ミュージあむで見たばかりなので、ついつい興味をそそられて購入してしまう。ミュージアム入場券購入時に、ショップで使える割引券を貰えたので良かった。
