Rui is an amazing artist and extremely gracious. She went out of her way to make my wife and I feel welcome in Kyoto. If you’re checking out the nearby gardens, you should definitely stop by her gallery for wonderful handmade jewelry and art. The mediums that Rui works with are so interesting! And her crafts make awesome souvenirs. You might even be lucky to score an authentic matcha ceremony!
Such exceptional quality. I custom ordered this necklace based on one she said she already sold. She quickly guessed what I might prefer. Not just me but my work as well. It’s exquisite and I’m so happy to have found this gem of a studio. I can’t recommend it enough.
I purchased this brooch for a friend before returning to New York. Rui speaks impeccable English and I only wish we had more time to talk as she is so knowledgeable as well! Will definitely order from her in the future.
