I highly recommend staying with Tak. This is by far the best we have stayed in during all our travels. We absolutely loved staying at Tak’s place. The home is situated in a very quiet, private, peaceful and beautiful area. It is extremely well-kept with a personal touch. Tak is an extremely friendly and lovely host. The experience had an incredible personal touch. He is extremely detailed in his recommendations for restaurants, hikes, and general itinerary. We got a bit lost during our trail and he redirected us and even found us and gave us some energy bars.
Beautiful place to stay and a wonderful host, Tak. He is very accommodating and will provide you with any recommendations you require. If you’re into hiking and peaceful nature, or even just to explore a quiet town, this place is perfect ☺️This place is by far the best airbnb, it’s clean and has all the facilities. Keep in mind you have to bring your own towel if you plan to go to the onsens nearby as most places dont have options to rent towels.Please do visit and show lots of love ~ I hope one day to visit here again.
Ideal stay with the peaceful and quiet environment, very flexible and helpful host, clean and well maintained inside and outside of house.In the cold winter, you need AC heater turning on all the time because it’s a typical old-type wooden house.
Excellent cottage! Our host Tak is really friendly and helpful! We stay here for 3 nights during our hiking trip, Tak help to arrange the shuttle service for us, save us a lot of time. Also the facilities are tiny, clean and well equipped. Tak can also help to order the best lunch box for our hiking trip. So strongly recommend to stay here if you are here to hiking in Kumano!
It was quite an impressive stay in Cottage KIRIHATA! The facilities and environment is greate and the host Mr. Tak is very friendly and accommodating. He helps us a lot with the hiking route decision and provides us with free drops in the early morning, which saves us quite a lot time and effort for catching bus. Strongly recommendate choosing this guest house! It makes our trip quite unforgettable.

Was lucky enough to come across this beautiful home stay. A great place to test out tired legs. The owner Tak was super helpful with giving directions and tips for our hike. He spoke perfect English which helped a lot. Highly reccomend.
