Best climbing gym in Kyoto. No debate. The owners are super cool and it’s super cozy. The climbs are challenging but the atmosphere definitely makes it worth 5 stars and a visit. Definitely recommend!
Great gym, very fun setting, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Also great climbing T-shirts if you’re into that. Unfortunately there is a substantial registration fee (1500¥), so it’s pretty pricy for a one-time vacation visit, but that’s usual for Japanese gyms.
会場では丁寧な説明のうえに、温かい感じの常連さん多いですあっとなほーむかもですけども、ボルダリングではなかなかクリアできないヤツもあります笑皆さん燃えてください!私も今年で60歳ですが楽しいです。
One of my favourite gyms in Japan. The setting is very hard but teaches you a lot. The vibes inside were chill and welcoming. The worker there (a nice woman) was so kind, and patiently took the time to explain the tape rules of the wall etc, to us despite not speaking much English. She regularly cheered us on (and other people), and definitely made the place feel wholesome. Even taking time to help me with how to start a climb. The price wasn't too bad too, with no registration fee. It was also very clean too. Would definitely come back next time I am in Kyoto!
When I was in Kyoto a couple of weeks ago, I was looking for a climbing gym and found this place after a quick Google search. It was easily accessible via the Kyoto subway coming from Kyoto Station.Everyone was super friendly, and even though I don't know any Japanese, they helped explain to me their rules and how their routes worked. I'm still a beginner climber but they had routes from varying levels of difficulties and was the nice amount of challenging. From my picture, this is the main wall. There's a smaller wall to the right of this as well as a slab wall. They have two bathrooms on the main floor and the changing rooms are upstairs. They gave me a membership card and wrote my name in Japanese so I have a really great souvenir from my trip.
It’s a boulder gym that in space is a bit little, but the creativity is awesome.I’ve been climbing indoors for a year, and in an European system (Sharma’s gym), so at the beginning it can be a bit difficult to understand the difficulty settings.I gotta say that I’m still recovering from a pulley lesion, but climbing here was really fun. You can see that almost every route focuses a lot on technique, which is something I really appreciate because it’s really hard to create a route that lets you improve it. Or at least for me it’s not normal to find every route requiring technique. In general I’d recommend this place!!Btw: the owners were kind, gentle and very friendly!!
「黒板課題」は中級者ぐらいでも十分楽しめます。ちなみに私は、ワールドカップと呼んでいます。

Attended the gym tonight for my first Japanese bouldering experience. The owner (settor) was extremely helpful in giving beta when asked, or providing information regarding routes. The gym although small, has an amazingly warm community and is not to busy. I highly recommend this gym, great owner, great setting, and great atmosphere!
