Incredible experience!We were taught how to do classic Japanese calligraphy. Yu is a great teacher and welcomed us well.We first practiced a lot and then were given a few items to choose from to write our final word in shodo.The result was great!In the end Yu also gave us small presents.By the way, the view from the studio is also amazing!
І really enjoyed the calligraphy class at Shodo-Salon! The instructor is a very beautiful and pleasant person and explained all the nuances. In addition, I was treated to delicious tea and sweets, which was very kind :) And as a very pleasant bonus, there was an incredible view of the city from the studio windows!
Great workshop! We learned all about the history of Shodo calligraphy and then created our own. This is a great workshop with a souvenir to take home!The instructor is also amazing, experienced and very knowledgeable about Shodo.

Our calligraphy experience at Shodo Salon TOYOSU was the absolute highlight of our Japan trip. We dropped by after TeamLab and we were overwhelmed by their generosity and all our artwork, and even a beautiful scroll and a fan to take home. A heartwarming, unforgettable memory for the whole family.

Me and family thoroughly enjoyed the experience! My 7 and 4 year old were completely engrossed and Yu very patiently taught all of us the different kanji characters which we chose to write. We ended with 2 hanging scrolls, 2 message boards for the kids and great memories!! Would definitely recommend this for an authentic Japanese experience with a wonderful and friendly host!
