Amidst a quiet neighborhood a stone’s throw from Appi Kogen is a watering hole where beer, burgers and rack all get mixed up for a fun and enjoyable time. English speaking staff who are friendly. By the decor in the place, owners should be an avid snowboarding fella. Boards acting as coat hangers and light decorations. Quite an interesting place
Enjoyable visit, beer was very good, with tasty and filling burger + chips. Good atmosphere, staff were friendly and service efficient. There’s not too many places to dine in Appi Kogen pension village, outside your accommodation, but recommend a visit here.
Great place to hang out and do some beer testing.The food is average, the hamburger could be a bit better (the buns are not soft) but other than that, it was a cool place to hang out with your friends.
beer is great, pub quiz is fun, decor is cool...... but it definitely didn't feel like japan because of the crowd. personally, not my vibe.my food (just a simple burger!) never came after 1.5hrs - it went to the table next to us, even though they came in later. cashier was rude when i asked about my order and just said "yes, so it's coming".kudos to the manager / chef (?) though. she probably realised the error and prioritised our order and also gave an option of a refund. my friend took the food (it came in the next 10mins, though it didnt taste great) and i opted for the refund as it was already late.
Amazing beers, food and atmosphere. Also board games which are always a hit with our family. Will visit again soon! :)
Pork ribs, burger, chicken strips, fries and beer are all very yummy. Food comes in medium portions good for a family of three or four. Pork ribs have some sort of sauce which I think is BBQ sauce. Pork ribs also come with some curry baked beans and mayonnaise and ketchup. Waiters are friendly and there is a TV that shows ski World Cup and other ski related tournaments or competitions.Generally, I definitely recommend 19Brew because the food is just so good and the people there are always friendly. 19Brew is somewhere you have to go if you ever go to Hachimantai or APPI Kogen.
Food and Service: Great! Must have the chilli bowl. Spring rolls and chicken strips were also excellent.Atmosphere: good music but like most of this resort, it doesn’t have much of an “apres ski” atmosphere.
Unfortunately very disappointed with the burger's which were probably frozen and not handmade like they were last time we visited. Such a shame as we would have liked to have been able to use the venue regularly.
Delicious burgers - best we’ve ever had in Japan! Really generous serving of chips too, and fantastic beer! Loved it. Highly recommend this cool spot after a day of skiing!!
