Newly renovated location, very friendly staff! Free parking around the corner, and staff are more than willing to give recommendations for places around the town. Would loved to have stayed an extra night or two.Keida-san is very cool :)
quaint little establishment - 4 minute walk from the train station. Excellent service, shared bathrooms though but only 4 rooms so not too bad.Clean and quiet.There’s a cafe at the reception for breakfast and coffeeHighly recommended!
Beautifully designed hostel and cafe in a great area. Near the mountains. Lots of space to explore. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. A great place for travelers and locals to meet.

This was such a cute and beautifully designed hostel, with so much attention to detail like light bulbs screws carved into the bed head and textured walls. The room was small (basically the width of the bed) but this is often the norm in Japan unless you are willing to pay extra for space. And the room was well designed to make the most of the space. Bed super comfy with great soft comfy bedding. The bathroom is shared/separate but it was nearly always empty. The laundry is complementary, and lounge/kitchen area super cute, easy area to hang. The staff were great, we had a big chat when we arrived and the night before we left. You get a complimentary drink including a whiskey highball if you want it! The cafe/shop downstairs is a really nice space with good little gifts and a letter writing station share you can write and decorate a letter and even put it in a little post box. Due to the location of Kamikawa one thing to note is that if you want to go to ski fields I would recommend hiring a car if you are staying here, there wasn’t an easy shuttle to ski fields that the hotel could recommend. You can probably do it with buses but could be a trek!
