What a gem!! A small, quaint restaurant. The food menu is limited but what is on the menu is excellent! The owner is very engaging and is a fascinating aficionado of blues music. What a great evening!
The absolute best fried chicken in Sasebo, if not all of Japan! Owner is an awesome guy and takes care of his regulars! Absolutely have to hit this spot multiple times every time I visit!!
Food, atmosphere, service, everything was flawless. Best fried chicken I've ever had. It's a hole in the wall kind of place so it's easy to miss, but absolutely worth the trip. I wouldn't skip this place when visiting sasebo.
Skinny’s is a bar/food pub. Would definitely recommend to anyone in sasebo looking for a quick bite and a good time vibing to some 70s music 🎶 I highly recommend the “Fried chicken” and yakisoba. It is like no other. Everytime I travel to Sasebo, I will definitely be stopping by good ol’ skinny’s!P.S. the owner makes his own hot sauce; mango habanero and apple habanero for those who like a spicy kick to their meal ! 🌶

佐世保の外人バー界隈では、レジェンドのレストランです。気さくなマスターが笑顔で接してくれてとってもアットホームなレストランです。
ここのフライドチキンは最高に美味しいです。あと、流れている音楽も素敵です。ビールとチキン、アメリカンな感じ！
Best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. My favorites are gyoza, sandwich, salad and fried rice. The spicy sauce is the highlight of all. Definitely recommend Skinny. Such a good person to talk to and he shared us some of the sauce.
I have been a fan of Skinny's (aka Windmill Snack Bar) since 1993. Went back to the new location in 2016 and it's just as good. I went back again in 2024. Skinny is one of the most kind and generous people in Sasebo. He IS Sasebo. I loved seeing my dear friend and loved eating his amazing food.

Big ups to skinny best fried rice in all Sasabo his sandwiches absolutely amazing no matter what you get. It’s going to taste delicious. and whatever you do, don’t forget to try his Apple hot sauce. He also has mango and strawberry.
