I have taken many floral classes, and wanted to take a Ikebana class in Japan. ChatGPT found me this place.I booked it because it had flexible cancellation policy and good price.When I got there, I realized I was the only person that signed up. Demi could have cancelled but he didn’t! As it turns out, he just won the national freestyle 1st Prize. Due to my flower arrangement foundation, I quickly finished the arrangement. And he taught me 2 more!! I had a great time learning the foundation of Ikebana, he treated me with tea and snacks.I would recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo that is interested in Ikebana, regardless if you had prior experience!
We had the absolute best time on this experience with Demi. The class was very exceptional as Demi really took time to teach us the history of Ikebana as well as the many variations. After the educational part then we got into actually creating which was such a great experience. Demi also spends individual time with each student, helping guide them through their piece and providing great feedback. We felt so encouraged throughout the process and by the time the class was over we honestly felt confident enough to take the skills back home with us and try on our own. Definitely book this with Demi!
I just had an ikebana class in Tokyo with Demi Kikisuke of Ikebana Studio Oraqua, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. Demi is an award-winning Ikebana artist and photographer, yet incredibly kind, pleasant, and patient; Demi took the time to explain each step thoughtfully, making the art feel approachable and meaningful rather than intimidating.The studio was cozy and homey, a calm and beautiful space that felt perfect for learning and creating. It allowed me to slow down, be present, and really appreciate the philosophy behind ikebana. I left with a deeper respect for the craft & a lovely sense of calm that stayed with me long after the class ended.If you’re visiting Tokyo and looking for a meaningful, creative experience, this is truly a must-do.

Me & husband had a great experience with this class. It was our first experience of Ikebana. 90 mins session passed so quickly but we could learn the history of Ikebana, basic rules and practice with actual flowers and vase. If you are in Tokyo, highly recommend to take this trial class.期待以上に内容が濃く楽しい体験クラスでした。90分だけだったけど、ものの捉え方が変わってしまった凄いクラスでした。教えていただいたことを生活に取り入れていきたいと思います。是非参加してみてください。

人生ではじめて生け花というものに触れました。今まで興味はありつつも体験する機会がなかった生け花。先生より、未経験でも気軽に体験してみて大丈夫と言っていただき、参加させていただきました。生け花は自由に感性で生けるものだと思っていましたが、最初に生け花の基本を説明いただき、ルールがあることを知ってびっくり！基本はルールに則り、その中でアレンジをしていく、慣れてきたら幅を広げていっていっOKとのことでした。ルールに則って体験してみると、なんと、素人でもそこそこサマになっているように見えます！何度わからなくなってしまっても先生が丁寧で柔らかに教えてくださるので楽しんで生けることができました。また、生けた花に対して、いいと思う点、逆に直した方がいい点を教えてくださるので次はこうしてみたい！と自分の中でモチベーションが高まります。季節のお花などを教えていただけるのもとても楽しいです。合間合間での先生との会話も楽しく、忙しい日々の中で穏やかな時間が流れる貴重な時間をいただけた気がしています。
お花の知識ゼロでも楽しめる素敵な教室です。自分ではなかなか買わないようなお花をお持ち帰りできるのもうれしいです！
