Me and my wife were on a Japan trip in December and TRIP TO JAPAN was extremely helpful regarding planning and execution of our entire trip. Would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.
All the tours booked via them were good. It was a self guided trip but they were very prompt in answering every question before the trip even not related to the booking we made. Hotels were comfortable and during trip they were available over WhatsApp. Overall good experience .
Trip To Japan was perfect! They worked with me and my wife to construct that absolutely best itinerary, excellent hotels, great restaurant suggestions, etc. But most important, they were there on the ground, in real time, whenever we needed help with train schedules, or complicated reservations.
3 December 2025If you want a quickly dashed off review, pass this one by . . .I purposely wait two weeks before writing a review to allow the entire experience sink in - to make sure I’m over the initial post-holiday elation, depression, and jet lag.You simply can’t avoid a request for a review of services these days. They are automatic, built in to the internet engine of the provider. Oftentimes you receive a request for a review before you’ve even received the service! But you don’t have to respond, and a poorly considered response is a disservice to others. That’s why I wait, or I rarely respond at all.As a US native, I’ve been living and traveling frequently abroad (to almost every continent) for over thirty-five years. This last trip was my fourth to Japan. In the past I’ve done my own complete planning, or I’ve used guides as needed. I’ve found that my best experiences come from a combination of both.With the ‘Trip to Japan’ combination I was the most delightfully satisfied that I had ever been:1- As the pre-planning progressed, they were quick to understand and respond to my change requests.2- I like to be flexible when traveling, and their immediate response to in-trip itinerary changes resulted in refunds when requested within the allotted time.3- The absolute best and most important thing was that they were always instantaneously there for me via WhatsApp. I cannot stress this last one enough.You see, my passport was lost at a small JR Train station. I realized it about ten minutes later and went back to look for it, but it hadn’t been turned into the officials yet. I WhatsApped my contact, and my ‘Trip to Japan’ team immediately went to work, located it, had it transferred to the closest major JR station, and had it held there at lost and found for me to retrieve. They literally saved my entire trip.I give ‘Trip to Japan’ 10 out of 10 stars!
We spent a month in Japan last year, and Trip to Japan made the whole experience so smooth and enjoyable. We were traveling as a family with our two girls, who were 3 and 7 at the time, and even though the agency hadn’t planned trips with kids before, they handled everything perfectly.Bolli was amazing throughout the process. He’s lived in Japan for many years, and his recommendations made a huge difference — he suggested places we would never have thought of ourselves, and they turned out to be some of our favorite moments of the trip.We started in Tokyo, then spent two weeks working in Fujiyoshida, and finished in Kyoto. From train tickets to accommodations to all the small details, everything was taken care of. All felt effortless on our end, and if anything came up, Bolli and his team were always just a phone call away and quick to help.Traveling with young kids can sometimes be stressful, but this time it never felt like that. The whole trip ran so smoothly, and we had such a rich experience thanks to Bolli’s local knowledge and support. We’re already planning to go back once our girls are a bit older — and we’ll most definitely ask for their help again.I can’t recommend Trip to Japan enough, especially if you want something personal and thoughtfully planned. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to see Japan.

I booked a yatabune with private lunch package. It was so amazing. Our group of 4 people got our own private delicious lunch set up on the yatabune cruise in arashiyama with our own private driver. Other boats were out but packed with people. The booking process was simple. I requested online but the real reservation is made via email communication back and forth to find an open date and time. Staff was professional, easy to book with. The boat driver was so fun and entertaining, taking lots of photos for us. Excellent experience, definitely book here!

Bolli and his team helped me plan a trip for and my family to Japan on very short notice. We engaged only a few weeks before traveling and it was very efficient. They also helped us with the JR railway passes and their choice of accommodation was great. I loved the MIMARU hotels. The itinerary was very detailed but was a bit challenging to follow closely with small kids.

Had a family vacation during Christmas and the New Year in Japan organized by Trip To Japan. The whole travel itinerary fitted our needs perfectly with children from 11 - 18 years of age. Great to have options for everyone on what to do, what to see, where to eat. And it was very helpful to have WhatsApp staff available if something was unclear or we needed assistance. We are so going back to Japan in the future.
