Heaven for audiophile lovers. Totally what I’d call as a hidden gem. It’s a simple place, listening cafe – no menu, just coffee or tea. But the owner, Shinji-san is a lovely man with impeccable taste, we had lovely conversation and wished we could stop by one more time before leaving Shimoda but sadly weren’t able to.Very good place to just sit and enjoy the music and the moment. I would 100% want to be back to this magical place. Please give it a visit if you are in Shimoda area
Visiting Music in Largo was such an amazing experience. Shinji welcomed us into his space and shared his stories, life experiences and great music taste. He made effort to communicate with us and create an incredible atmosphere for our visit. There is no doubt Shinji is well travelled, with lots of friends and lots of stories and this showed through his music and cafe space.This is a great place to visit if you’re wanting a coffee and a very special experience to go with it.Thanks for having Josie and I, we will be back next time we’re in the Izu Peninsula.
Sin palabras para explicar el nivel de belleza y calidez de este lugar. Fuí con mi novio nuestro último día en Shirahama y fué la despedida perfecta. Ambos somos amantes de la música y los vinilos y este lugar era perfecto. Unos equipos de audio increíbles, una casa de arquitectura típica japonesa en medio de la vegetación con diseño de interiores mid century con el mejor gusto que vi en mi vida, y su dueño, la persona mas especial y cálida del mundo. Lo recomiendo 100% para tomar un riquísimo café y pasar un rato más que agradable.

Definitely a unique place so don't come expecting a typical coffee shop. This is basically a private listening lounge and there is black coffee available. The sound is excellent as is the ambiance. Shinji san is very friendly and knowledgeable and it's great to spend an hour with him. I hope he will add some local fruits or snacks to the menu.
If you're ever in Shirahama, Japan, don't miss out on Music in Largo! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed by the incredibly friendly owner. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a perfect mix of smooth jazz tunes and great vibes. The coffee? Absolutely top-notch — rich and smooth, a must-try for any coffee lover. The owner's taste in jazz music is impeccable, providing a perfect backdrop to the cozy, laid-back space. And let's not forget the sound system — it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever heard, making the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend! 5 stars all the way!
Had a very chill afternoon in this stylish coffee lodge - coffee and tea had a hint of fruits, both smell and taste great. The hi-fi is of excellent quality.The owner is a gentleman with great artistic and musical taste. You can tell he definitely loves his life and music and every detail in the house tells stories.Mr. Shinji was very nice to show us his collections. One of his sever speakers was of BBC qualities WOW He and his wife, who teaches flowers, have been to America for more than thirty times for cultural exchange workshops. Such talents!Absolutely a hidden gem 💎 shouldn’t be missed!
