The best sake, sashimi and Sushi I have ever had. The best service and a great chef. We loved it so much we came here twice. Highly recommend. Reserve before hand during busy periods.
The service was lovely but it's very overpriced for what you get (maybe because it's in the mountains?) We spent over 10,000 yen and left feeling hungry and like the sushi was just good, not amazing.
Outstanding sushi and genuine care. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, some of the best I had in Myoko. When I mentioned being gluten and dairy free, the staff were thoughtful and professional, checking ingredients and using separate knives without fuss. It never felt like a compromise, just great food done properly. A must-visit in Akakura.
Came here because of the reviews and my love of sushi, but it seems like many of those reviews may be from a previous season or a different version of the restaurant. The sushi itself was good, but it felt overpriced compared to sushi spots I’ve been to in other ski towns like Nozawa and Niseko. Service felt rushed — I was asked for my order almost immediately after sitting down — and there was no music, which made the atmosphere feel a bit awkward. Overall, it came across as somewhat tourist-oriented. Not bad, just not great value for the price.
Just wow. The food was great every dish was excellent. My only regret was that I wish we had more people so we could try more things. The hot pot was delicious and the dish of the day (fish today) was subtle, yummy and well presented. The owner/manager had fluent English plus excellent customer service on top of that. I’d be over the moon to have that level of service in Australia or the US. Refre suggested we go and we didn’t regret that at all

The best door I had in this town. The 3 piece salmon was above average and they had a shrimp special that was nice. We are a lot and drank sake so it added up.
