Obake Bar is easily one of the best spots I've found lately. The drinks are top-tier—super creative and well-balanced—and the vibe is exactly what you want for a night out. It’s got that perfect atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the music and the company. Definitely my new go-to.
Japanese Mexican fusion cuisine is a beautiful culinary delight. The cocktails are zingy and delicious, with a good range of non-alcoholic cocktails also. Brutalist basement meats warm and cosy speak easy vibes. Perfect space to connect and refresh after some laps on the resort.
My favourite gem of Akakura! Follow the yellow door down to the coziest bar. A place to meet friends and have the best cocktail in Myoko. The occasional DJ night brings some of the most fun events in town.The food is amazing. Vegan and GF options.Staff is super welcoming.Can’t miss it!!
Hidden gem! Really cool speakeasy vibe. amazing cocktails and food. Lots of gluten free and vegan options. Really cool spot for an apres ski marg or late night cocktail.
Proper hidden gem. Small downstairs spot with huge energy, unreal food that goes way beyond “good for a bar,” and seriously sharp service. No fluff, just switched on staff and plates that hit every time. Dark, warm, buzzing atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more. Five stars.
One of our favourite bars on the strip in Akakura Onsen. Louise and her team are so lovely and Mexican / Japanese fusion food and drinks are insane. It’s also got the best vibe in town. You won’t regret going here.
Delicious cocktails. We also had the homemade corn chips with guacamole which was very good. The atmosphere is great: simple, cozy and cool. Will definitely be back.
Such a cute and fun little bar. Great drinks and awesome food. Almost everything on their menu is gluten free, which is so hard to find in Japan. They only fry with gluten free flour and only use gluten free soy sauce! Kira and Aliyah brought amazing vibes and made the night so fun! Will definitely be back!
Obake is one of the best bars in town. 5 stars all round but behind the bar there were only 2 stars I saw. Hidden in the kitchen cooking wizardry was Seb the magician. Fantastic food and lovely service! Kira and Aliyah are future entertainers with a wealth of knowledge of delicious cocktails. All they need is a stage, microphone and a bar to work their magic to wow customers from around the globe
