水盤の特徴
にぎわいSTAGE中央に位置する、水盤は夜の光景が美しいです。
ピンクに光る木のインスタレーションに癒されます。
夏の涼しい夜にぴったりの魅力的な空間です。
An innovative type of open space which one could loosely call a "park" in that there are light installations in the shape of trees and "paths" made from non organic material to resemble paths and stream and greenery. There's also a "cave"/tunnel over a set of stairs leading into the building. It's very attractive especially at night in summer when it's cooler.
にぎわいSTAGE中央にある、水盤と呼ばれる施設。「水盤」とは建物の内部や庭園に設置された水深の浅い池や水面のことで、こちらの水盤はにぎわいSTAGEのライトアップの演出のために造られたと思われるが、昼間は大きな水溜まりのような感じで夏場は小さな子供たちの絶好の遊び場になっている。なお水盤の周りは人工芝が張り巡らされているので、シートをひかなくてもピクニックみたいなこともできそうだ。注意点として、公式に遊び場として認められていないこと、周りにゴミ箱やトイレがないこと、あとは冬の時期は当然ながら水盤には水が入っていないことを上げておくが、子供たちが賑やかに遊んでいても注意する人はいなさそうに見えたので、たぶん遊んでOKな場所だと思う。

周辺のオススメ
Twinkle Park! That's what the locals I met call this place. It's a great little hangout spot away from the noise and traffic of Shibuya. There's fake turf you can sit on and also several tables with chairs. It's a perfect spot to hangout with a friend and enjoy the lights.It seems that the lights are manually turned on since they aren't on and off at the same time every night.Also note, this area is patrolled by security officers and after 8pm, you can drink alcohol in public so don't plan to sit here and enjoy some beers lol. That said, if you're not causing problems you probably won't be bothered so if you're visiting, just be respectful and quiete (which goes for everywhere in Japan)
