One of the highlights of my trip. This was so much fun and I got a unique, high quality, authentic, timeless souvenir that was customized to my liking. You can’t beat that.I was also so impressed by Mr Sugawara. I told him I wanted to try the wide leg style, and he didn’t even ask my size, he just handed me a pair of jeans. I asked him “do you need my size?” And he just looked at me and said “….medium.” And he was dead right. They fit perfectly. I didn’t even know “medium” was a jean size, but hey, he knew what he was doing.I can’t recommend this enough!
My dad and I had the time of our lives making our custom selvedge jeans with Sugawara!His help, knowledge and passion for denim and vintage pieces made this day the most memorable one from our trip to Tokyo.We would highly recommend Makers to anyone interested in denim and Americana, truly the best place for it in Japan.Again a huge thanks from everyone in our family🫶
Nous avons adoré l’expérience de personnalisation de jean avec mon copain. Le gérant est vraiment adorable et vous participez à la confection : vous pouvez mettre vous même le bouton et les rivets. À la base nous nous sommes rendu dans la boutique « mère » Betty Smith à quelques minutes à pied de celle ci mais nous n’étions pas au courant qu’il fallait une réservation ! Les vendeurs nous ont donc indiqué que celle ci proposait le meme service de personnalisation sans réservation. Je recommande ce magasin les yeux fermés. De plus mention spéciale pour la décoration du magasin dans un esprit vintage très sympa. 🌈🔥
Je ne connaissais pas le concept, c’est ma copine qui m’a amené là-bas car il n’y avait plus de place dans l’autre magasin car il fallait réserver.Je suis content qu’il n’y avait plus de place, sans cela je n’aurais jamais découvert ce petit shop avec un monsieur extrêmement gentil et attentionné. Il nous a fait faire notre propre Jean avec ses petites machines.Première fois que je m’achète un jean et franchement la qualité est top et la coupe est vraiment bien, très streetwearSi vous passez par là, amenez lui de la force et suivez son compte sur Instagram.
absolutely love it here! mister sugawara was so helpful and friendly! i don’t speak japanese but we communicated well! the denim is really high quality as a sub brand of betty smith! it was not crowded and was really cozy! would highly recommend and come back again!
