Very cute small mom and pop restaurant. I ordered the egg donburi and it was delicious. The meal also came with a side of vegetables/mushrooms, a bowl of miso, and hot tea. It was a cold day in Koya so this warm meal hit the spot. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was eating in a Japanese grandparents’ kitchen. 10/10 would go back if I visit Koya again.
素敵な老夫婦が営む美味しいご飯屋さんです。そばとうどんもあります。相撲見ながら丼食べて温まりました。ありがとうございます😊Due to the recent closure of a local butcher shop in town, the owner has limited amount of meat available so there might be some days you wouldn’t be able to eat Gyu don,etc.

I highly recommend this place! The owner is very kind and the food is delicious. They serve only Japanese food and it matches its atmosphere of “eating at home”. Hence the place is small, as if you’re eating at your family’s.One tip to help local restaurants: make sure to have ready small bills as often they struggle to have big change to everyone.

Je suis de la team à préférer me perdre dans les petites rues et manger local plutôt que de me fondre dans la crowd et aller aux places Instagramable.Cette place était parfaite pour moi. Ce sont trois personnes âgées qui le tiennent et elles étaient au petit soin avec nous.Il y a une grande table commune et une petite table de deux. Nous étions à la table commune, ce qui aide à la communication et au partage avec les locaux.On a été plusieurs touristes à venir, mais nous recherchions la même chose je suppose.Du calme, de la bonne nourriture.Je me sentais comme chez mes grands parents.On testé le tofu/pate de sesame qu’on nous a recommandé - un délice. Et j’avais pris le Kitsune udon qui était très bon aussi.Merci pour ça !Cash only
