We did a two hour "shojin ryori" with this group, and it was such a fun experience! The wife and I like to make Japanese food from time to time, and we wanted to learn more Japanese vegetarian cooking. This was the experience for us! We learned about recipes, techniques, Japanese ingredients, and the esthetics of putting together a Zen Buddist kaiseki meal. It was a unique and memorable experience, and the two instructors were also kind and fluent in English to boot. If you want to really connect with Japanese culture through food, check this out!
The sunset walking tour and sake tasting is truly recommendable for those who enjoy shorter tours, great Instagrammable photo spots, trying Japanese traditional drinks and food, and getting insights into cultural and historical sides of Japan.Guides were kind and had variety of information that may not be easily accessible online.The sake tasting provided varieties that ranged from common to rare.If you are lucky to join on a clear day, the sunset will be truly beautiful!
I joined the Tokyo Tower Sunset tour and Sake Tasting.Wakako-san was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging—bringing cultural and historical context to life in a meaningful way. The hidden gems (photo spots and sites with less tourists) were a great touch to this tour. She was also kind and ensured we were well hydrated this peak summer season.The sake tasting was a lovely addition, which included rare varieties that paired well with desserts.Everything felt well-paced, and the small group size made the experience relaxed and personal. Thank you!
