They saved me from spending the entire New Year's holiday period with a broken tooth!I had an old filling fall out on December 29th, so I went to my regular dentist in a different clinic only to find that they were closed despite the official opening times online and on the door saying otherwise. I proceeded to check at least 10 other dentists in the neighbourhood, all of which also had small paper slips taped to their doors (if even that) saying that they are closed for the holidays, despite what it said on their home pages and/or Google.I finally found the Tanaka Clinic that was open - went in with no appointment, explained the problem at the reception, filled the regular intake form, waited for a bit and got to see the doctor. The dentist solved the immediate problem of a big hole in my tooth with what he claimed was a temporary fix (because they took me in in-between other people’s prior appointments and the time slot was limited) that is still perfectly fine a month later. He also checked all the rest of the teeth and warned me of another developing issue that my regular dentist, whom I visited only a month earlier, had never even mentioned.There was also no pressure from the doctor to definitely return to this particular clinic (unlike in some other clinics I’ve experienced in past years that invite you back over and over again to clean two teeth at a time or something like that), he just mentioned that the fix is temporary and that when needed, I should go get it fixed in a more permanent manner at my regular dentist.This no-pressure atmosphere and gratitude for them actually keeping to their official opening schedule when the rest of the city didn’t seem to, makes me want to change to the Tanaka clinic in the future, even if it is further away.10 minutes walk from the train station.There is also space to park a bike, UV-sanitised slippers, magazines to read and a kids play corner inside.
