I had a wonderful stay at Garyukan! This was my first solo international trip, and I’m so glad I chose this place as my home base in Gifu.The house was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and the location was perfect—right near Gifu Park and at the foot of Mt. Kinka, which was ideal for me since I love hiking and nature. It was also easy to get around by bus and close to Gifu Station.Most of all, I really appreciated Hideki’s hospitality. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. He made me feel comfortable even though I was traveling alone.Gifu itself was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay, and Garyukan made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Gifu, especially hikers, nature lovers, or families.
Highly Recommended!We had a wonderful stay because the place is not only good but we also experienced the real Japanese hospitality. This place is just few meters walk from Gifu Park and Nawa Insect Museum. The owners were there to meet us and explain the rules and even suggested places to visit. The pace is super clean and breakfast was provided. We cooked some eggs, there's bread, coffee, tea,yogurt and juice. It felt like home. I would like to make special mention of their staff, Ms Kaye who made sure that everything were easy for us. She accompanied us to the museum despite of the scorching heat of the sun and even offered to drive us all the way to the train station. Amazing!
古民家で趣があり長良川の鵜飼にも近く、また行きたくなるゲストハウスでした。オーナーも話しやすく親切で親しみやすかったです。
岐阜城ロープウェイ楽市楽座にとても近く歩いて散策 町の雰囲気いいです。ホルモン屋、バーミヤン、コメダ珈琲、コンビニ等 歩いて行ける範囲に色々あり困りません。駐車場は宿から離れていますが近くです。大人３人でしたが番号入力のロック付き個室は和室二間で使いやすく清潔感があり朝食も用意されており快適な滞在でした。
A lovely place to stay. The host is very welcoming and kind. His English is very good which is helpful. His home is very comfortable and clean. He is thoughtful and provided lots of amenities. He even dropped us at the station. Highly recommend. Wish we’d stayed longer.
