Very kind staff!As a couple we were looking for a special item and found it here.The person (a gentleman) in charge was very kind explaining us (in half Japanese/half English) the use of special items and differences of wood-materials. Very interesting collection.My only regret is not having bought more stuff. Everything is useful here. And prices are much better too.We’ll be back for sure-
昔懐かしい、けど、今も使われてる竹製品が良かった。鍋置き大中２つと、やや大きい、ざるを買ってきました。ざるのサイズは色々ありました。欧米人が結構買ってましたね。使い方で用途は変わりますが、鍋置きは、ずーっと探していて、しっかり曲げて、しっかり丸型を。ざるは野菜洗いはもちろん、柿の皮を剥いたのを少し干してみたいと思って買ってきました。竹を編んだ籠とか、背負い籠とか、昔、農家で物を入れる時に使った「とうみ」？。場所によって「てみ」とか言ったのかな売ってましたね道具名を確認しなきゃと思いました。
HIDDEN GEM!!!Truly authentic Japanese craft at a good price. The owner is so friendly :) we were looking all over Tokyo for a hyotan (Japanese water bottle made from squash) and this was the only place selling it! They also had massage tools made with bamboo, laquer bowls, tools to make somen and other amazing things
I looked for something everywhere but this place really has unique and authentic objects that you cannot find ANYWHERE else in Tokyo. Very underrated shop. Would recommend to anyone.
