On a romantic September day back in 2019...there was a spicey chicken festival near this wild locations only amusement park that I couldn't get a good look at. It felt like some sort of trickery of my eyes or the city.I asked for the hottest they had...and with very little trouble got my chicken and took a seat. The heat took a while to build, but became was soon insulting my lineage. I thought walking might resolve the issue. It was my mistake. Sweating like a Sumotori doing meal training I wallowed. 300 yen was all that was left for 2 days of life in this polite country of strangers. I had a train pass but didn't realize I could use it where I was at...a silly misunderstanding as I thought I needed to walk everywhere.The wind got wild and I thought to head home. Taking a wrong turn I found myself being called in by English I could see on a menu sign. 3 well dressed men were eating omelets drinking beer and chatting quietly from inside. A tender lovely owner minding them with wit.I seated myself quietly behind a large kitchen thing. The owner was very busy with her job and I forgot to announce myself.With 5 seats set, but 4 being comfortable, I slowly relaxed, wanting to get more experience with such small spaces.No one spoke to me, but small micro nods acknowledging I was present were given from the nice men. The storm warning got to national typhoon warning and it blared on a tiny tv in a small corner. A moment of solemn silence arrived, and all I could muster was 'owaaa Mizu tatsumaki (水竜巻, )' and suddenly I existed spotlight dead center stage.The gentlemen had many questions for me as well as the kind shop mistress! We spoke for a long lovely hour, one man translating for the others, we bought each other omelets and hot saki...they bought me took much Saki and then suddenly had to head home.I love this shop.I had a 100 yen omelet 4x100 yen Saki's with the gentlemen and 100 yen bowl of black soup. Leaving the shop utterly broke I felt a new sense of love from Japan.These men were doing the best they could with what they had, and were so imaginative and inquisitive. The shop owner and the lucky translator who was present took care of me like a lost son. ^_^ Thank you so much.
お酒も、アテも全部美味しくて食べ過ぎ飲み過ぎました浅草行くたびに寄りたいお店！ママさんも気さくで最高でした✨
飲み友達の常連さんに連れていっていただきました。ママの手作りの料理がおいし～！青唐辛子のたまごやきが気になってお願いすると、「辛いの平気？」とママが親切に尋ねてくれました。ぴりっとした辛さがたまごのマイルドさに合わさってお酒がすすみました。豚肉の味噌漬けのも柔らかくておいしかった！ママもお客さんもチャーミング。近くに寄った際はまた伺います。
浅草で1番おすすめ。
