100% would recommend! A great experience for anyone wanting a traditional experience and to learn more about Japanese cooking. Great for families too. My son learnt lots and enjoyed his time. Masa was great at adapting the experience to our needs. A private experience.
We attended the sushi class. It was located in a 14th floor with an incredible view of Tokio, also very well connected with several metro lines. It was our first time doing sushi and experience was perfect. How to cook rice, cut fish, make maki, gunkan and nigiri. Masa is wonderful host, for us it was important to get to know locals and she was super enthusiastic and answering all curiosities.
Masa was great and the class was so much fun. Thank you for a great experience
I had a wonderful experience! Masa is so welcoming and very knowledgeable about origami. She incorporates information about Japan’s history and culture into her lesson, making the activity much more engaging and hands-on than a traditional tour. She hosts in her comfortable home, which has a sprawling view of Tokyo. It’s an easy commute too if you’re worried about the distance from your accommodation, as the meeting point at the station is easy to navigate. Only positive things to say about this experience!
Again, we would like to thank Masa-san for this unforgettable experience. So far it was the best experience we had in Tokyo. Thank you for your kindness and showing us around Tsukiji fish market, we truly enjoyed the market itself and to learn more about the wonderful Japanese culture and the history about sushi and sushi making. Also, we would like to sincerely thank you for inviting us to your home and showing us how to prepare the amazing sushi we enjoyed today. We highly recommend booking this experience with Masa-san when visiting Tokyo as you really get the chance to indulge in Japanese culture and learn how to make delicious sushi in an authentic setting:)We hope to see you soon, Masa-san and we are sooo grateful for today!!!ありがとうございますKhayam & Karina
We had a wonderful and truly unique experience at Masaho's sushi class. While eating at a sushi restaurant is great, the sushi we made ourselves tasted even more special.Masaho was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire class. Not only did she gently guide us through the process, but she also spoke excellent English and taught us about the history of sushi and what everyday life in Japan is like.Instead of being in an office room, we made sushi in an authentic Japanese house. This gave us a wonderful glimpse into the daily life of a Japanese family. From start to finish, we had a fantastic time with Masaho. We would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo who wants an authentic Japanese experience.

Where to begin with this AMAZING experience? Perfect for sushi lovers and those who usually shy away from it alike. Masa is incredibly accommodating and offers non-raw and vegetarian options for anyone with dietary restrictions—just let her know when booking and she’ll make sure you have something delicious to enjoy. We tried some veggie options and they were fantastic. She’s a patient and engaging teacher who walks you through each step, shares the history of sushi, and even sends you home with the recipes so you can recreate everything yourself. She also has great recommendations for places to visit in Tokyo if you’re looking for ideas. Being welcomed into her home makes the experience feel warm, personal, and truly special—something you just don’t get in a typical class. It’s also very family-friendly, and she’s happy for you to take photos and videos along the way. This was easily one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo. This is a genuinely memorable experience - book now!
