located in a very quiet neighborhood.room is very clean.we were even provided laundry detergent for the washing machine.don't expect much of a view as this is a residential area.fairly near a Lawson and short walk to train stations.
We stayed at IKISUMI Hotel during the April school holidays from Australia, traveling as a group of 8 people — three families with children — and booked 4 rooms for 5 nights. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.The rooms are very new, modern, and extremely clean. We also saw the housekeeping staff cleaning carefully and regularly, which made us feel very reassured. Some ground-floor rooms have access to a small garden area, perfect for stepping outside for a short walk, while the second-floor rooms have balconies where you can get fresh air or hang clothes.Each room is very well equipped with a fridge, washing machine, microwave, induction cooktop, tableware, bowls, and chopsticks, which made it very convenient for families — even simple meals like instant noodles were easy. What really impressed me was that the hair dryers were Dyson, showing that the owner has put a lot of thought into the details.The rooms are spacious enough for several people. We chose to stay two people per room, which felt very comfortable and almost luxurious, but I think 3–4 people could also fit in one room if needed.The location is also excellent — around a 5–6 minute walk to Ōtsuka Station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. It is very convenient to take the train to Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and other shopping areas.Highly recommended, especially for families and groups. We would definitely stay here again during the next school holiday trip to Tokyo.
I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is amazing — it’s less than a 10-minute walk from the Otsuka station where you can find many restaurants, and from there it takes no more than 15 minutes to get into the city center including Shinjuku and Shibuya. Super convenient for both sightseeing and getting around.The room is surprisingly spacious compared to typical hotel rooms in Japan. It’s also very new, clean, and modern. The amenities exceeded my expectations — they even provide a Dyson hair dryer, which was such a nice touch.There’s also a small kitchenette area that’s actually practical to use, plus a washing machine with detergent provided. It’s especially convenient for longer stays or if you don’t want to pack too many clothes. However, there is no dryer machine.The downsides during my stay are minor but worth mentioning. There’s no towel rack outside the bathroom, which makes it slightly inconvenient after showering. Also, the soundproofing isn’t great — I could hear noise from the neighboring room and from upstairs. It might not be ideal for light sleepers.Overall, it’s definitely worth the stay, and I would happily come back again! ✨
The apartment is brand new and very clean, with modern furnishings. However, the space is quite small, and the window faces a neighboring building that is less than a meter away, which means there is almost no natural light. This made the apartment feel darker and more confined than expected.

During our 2 month stay in Japan, this Airbnb was tied for 2nd place.Here are the Pros/Cons;*PROs*-Modern style-Keyless entry-Great WiFi. No bandwidth cap. Bring your streaming devices. Options available. If one goes down, you may switch to the others.-Wifey said best Hair Blow dryer?-45" flat screen TV-Spacious balcony-7 min walk to Otsuka Subway Station-3 min walk to Grocery store just down the slight hill.-2 min walk to closest restaurant TAROBEE. Run by such cute humble couple. We got home later in the evening one night and I was running out of options to eat. They close at 7:30pm but they welcome me with open arms at 7:25 and cooked me one or the best Curry dish I've had. Since then I kept returning multiple times.*CONs*-The NOISE omg! This is the only reason why I didn't give it five star and honestly I want to give it 3.5. This place also put raised wooden floors God knows why. This place seems to amplify your steps even worse than the last places we've stayed in. It makes it seem like people walking around with King Kong feet.-When you turn water on, there's a thumping noise coming from the pipes somewhere in the first floor. EVERYTIME!-No place to hang towels. Good luck we tried everything.
