We spent two unforgettable weeks traveling across Japan in a van. Japan Campers was truly an excellent choice for the rental; the van was fantastic and very cozy. We were actually sad to hand it back. It’s true that visiting Japan in summer means dealing with high temperatures, but alternating between cities like Hakone, Osaka, and Kyoto and mountain villages like Shirakawa-go or Kamikochi helps strike a good balance. If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. A huge thank you to Japan Campers for their professionalism and kindness. Touring Japan in a van is an absolute blast.
We highly recommend Japan Campers in Narita. Excellent service, with absolutely no issues picking up or returning the camper. The vehicle was in great condition, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Communication was exemplary, the staff were friendly, and their customer service was perfect. Thank you, Japan Campers, for two weeks of perfect adventure. Nissan Nova was great!
We rented a motorhome from Japan Campers for our honeymoon and did quite a long rental, booking it for close to two months. The service was amazing. Pickup from the airport and staying in their guest house made travelling so much easier. The motorhome itself was spacious and clean and suitable for the Japanese country side. We avoided highways and toll roads and only had to turn around once in 7000 kilometers of driving because we couldn't fit through a tunnel. We booked the Toyota Camroad and it could fit us comfortably ( we are 1,80 and 1,85 m tall). The beds were a great fit as well. We were quite sad to leave it since we got quite attached to our little "home". We can only recommend the rental company!
My partner and I rented their Nissan Caravan “Duo” for 16 days (4-19 March) and we absolutely loved it. We had owned similar vans in the past so we knew it would be perfect for us. The indoor dining area was perfect in the mornings for us to make coffee and have a small breakfast, but also to have meals while in remote areas or in case of bad weather. The bed was comfy and beddings were warm enough even though it was always pretty cold during the night (-2° to 5°C). The only downside was that the parking heater would overheat if used during the night with the bed made, so we would have to keep it off overnight and turn it off first thing in the morning when removing the central bed platforms. Apart from this detail, it absolutely saved us. This was a main reason why I chose this company over other ones which didn’t have vehicles with parking heater. We had lots of storage space and the inside is spacious enough to be very comfortable for two people. The internal eight is 160cm so if you’re short like me you can stand fully 😁The staff was great, both at the start and finish of our trip, they answered all our questions and showed us the van features thoroughly. The shuttle service to the airport very convenient.We were able to pay the rental fee via Wise which saved us lots on currency exchange, and we paid the damage deposit in cash euros which was very convenient so we wouldn’t find ourselves with tons of yen cash at the very end of our trip.Overall it was an absolutely amazing and memorable trip. I recommend buying from them at the start of your trip (at their Tokyo Narita office) their stamp book, it’s perfect to collect stamps from all the places you visit and write down the exact location and date.Thank you so much to all the Japan Camper staff for the amazing service, we’ll surely choose you again should we come back to roadtrip another part of your stunning country! ☺️ ありがとうございます！
Very happy to have booked with Japan Campers! We went out on a limb and booked the Crafter for 10 days of snowboarding for two adults and one 7 year old. The van was great, communication with JC was easy in English (so appreciated considering my embarrassingly terrible Japanese language skills) pickup and drop off at the airport was so helpful and reliable. And the stay at the guesthouse was better than expected. Thank you JC, you do a great job and I will not hesitate to book again with you!

L'équipe est venue nous chercher à l'aéroport directement. Le van (modèle Wink Plus) nous attendais. Quelques formalités administratives et me voilà sur les routes avec cette formidable Keicar ! Pratique, confortable, le lit et le nécessaire de cuisine (avec frigo et batterie) permettent de s'arrêter n'importe où et de se sentir comme en camping ! Pas comme à la maison, il manquerait un canapé, une salle de bain et une "vraie" cuisine pour ça. Mais en choisissant une Wink, on choisit l'expérience japonaise typique. On passe partout, on consomme peu et aussi on passe un peu inaperçue. Bon pour ce qui est des routes à fortes pentes comme les cols de montagnes... c'est pas une voiture de course.. mais elle monte quand même (à son rythme). En bref, si vous voulez une petite voiture pratique, confortable et économique, c'est la Wink qu'il vous faut. Et Japan Campers est irréprochable sur le service à la clientèle. Réactif, précis et agréable, je passerai toujours par eux pour un départ de Tokyo (ou de Osaka maintenant qu'ils ont ouvert une agence dans cette ville)🇬🇧 Second trip to Japan that I make by choosing Japan Campers and it was once again an excellent choice. The team picked us up at the airport directly. The van (Wink Plus model) was waiting for us. Some paperwork and here I am on the roads with this great Keicar! Practical, comfortable, the bed and kitchen utensils (with fridge and battery) allow you to stop anywhere and feel like camping! Not like at home, there would be a lack of a sofa, a bathroom and a "real" kitchen for that. But by choosing a Wink, we choose the typical Japanese experience. We go everywhere, we consume little and also we go a little unnoticed. Good for roads with steep slopes like mountain passes... it's not a racing car.. but it goes up anyway (at its own pace). In short, if you want a practical, comfortable and economical little car, this is the Wink you need. And Japan Campers is impeccable on customer service. We rented the Miniature Camper for 3 weeks and had a lovely time. Japan Campers made the whole process from pickup, camping equipment and drop off super easy and organized. We had a stay in ther accomodation the night before our pick up (was included) which made pick up in the morning super quick and easy. Together with the Camp & Travel App it is extremely easy to find sleeping spots and different sightseeing attractions. We can only recommend using their service as we had a lovely and organized experience with them. The only small down side is the on the high way the car was quite loud and didn't to much PS which made acceleration time quite long but with time you'll get the hang out of it.(We are 183cm & 170cm tall and had enough space to sleep in this camper.)
