川谷城の特徴
車を止められる便利なひやり谷が目の前にあります。
堀切や切岸、武者走りなど魅力的な遺構が豊富です。
現代の道路が見える位置にあり、歴史を感じる場所です。
１０月2日のアップデート！ I have confirmed the location of the castle. Google Maps is correct. However 長谷川城 is very hard to reach. It took me more than 90 minutes to find it. And it was hard to find even when I was just 50m from it! I used Google Maps to find but there is almost no cell phone reception there.You cannot access it from route 69. You must find that small mountain road on my map, then park your car at the gate in photo and walk on the very bad logging road. Part of hte road is blocked by a landslide, so go around it carefully! You can walk only on the logging road or cut across through the forest on a very hard to find trail after the river goes under the logging road and there’s no more river on your left. You will rejoin the logging road easily. When you reach "end" of the gravel logging road there is NO TRAIL to the castle, you must go into the forest on the left and find the right trail that starts near the ridges. There are many old trails on the ridges so be sure to find the right one. When you are on the correct ridge, there is a false summit that is not the castle site. You must go to the right of the false summit and find the trail that goes on a narrow ridge to the site. It is easy to walk to the dry mote, but then you must use your hands and climb the trees to get up to the site (honmaru). It is very steep on all sides so I do not recommend it for children or dogs. There are very clear terraces to see on all sides. Not sure why they needed terraces on the steep sides route 69 side and left and right sides) because there is no way an enemy could come up there. Dragons?!So, what is the castle site that I found on the hills above the small ひやり谷 park on 69?!! It is only accessible from above the logging roads and trails above (access it from the road beside パスタピーノ レストラン on the road Tsumagi- Sogi road. Next wi will try to find a path to城ヶ根城。It looks very difficult too!

車の止めれる ひやり谷に縄張図があるひやり谷の目の前の尾根を直登した ﾅｶﾅｶの急斜面だった堀切♫切岸♫武者走り♫狭い主郭の下部にさらに狭い尾根段郭♪が続いてた下に現代の道路がかすかに見える街道見張りの砦かな？と想像して楽しめた..しかし檜植林地で改変されてるかもしれない標高約398m上↑は直登経験者向けルート。
