I was six hours into another unemployed walk of shame from Shinagawa, walking up the Nomi River toward the station. Maybe it was six hours of beers but the river is quite nice, clean with birds, little bridges like this one crossing here and there. Right after this I met a 94 year old 6'7" dude from the US and his much younger wife taking a very slow walk up the river...which is weird to say because he outright said he moved to Japan to take advantage of the healthcare and die comfortably. Coolest dude, a walking history book. Hope I get that lucky. 11/25
東京都大田区の呑川に架かる大森南と東糀谷を繋ぐ橋。かつてこの辺りの沿岸では、海苔の養殖が盛んだった。その海苔を採るベカ船を数隻積んで養殖場まで運ぶ親船が多く係留されていた。その様子が欄干に描かれている。
