動物検疫所 横浜本所の前身は、1904年に神奈川県内務省の所管として設置された横浜港家畜検疫所です。その後、神奈川県から税関へ、大蔵省から海運局へと、幾多の変遷を重ね、1951年の家畜伝染病予防法の施行に伴い、1952年に現動物検疫所として設置されました。全国の支所を統括する本所であることから、検疫業務部門はもちろんのこと、管理部門及び精密検査部門を設置しています。
ぎりぎりで緊急輸出健康チェックを行うようにこれらの人に頼みました。彼らは素晴らしく、とても親切で丁寧で、私たちのためにすべての書類を作り直しました。素晴らしい！（原文）Asked these guys to do a emergency export health check at the last minute. They were fantastic, very kind and polite, remade all our paperwork for us and everything. Fantastic!
