Scenic temple cemetery A Soto sect temple built in 1750 during the Kanei era. Shakyamuni Buddha is enshrined as the principal object of worship, and in addition to Obon festivals, equinoctial ceremonies, funerals, and New Year's memorial services, Mizuko memorial service and prayers for warding off senility are also performed. The precincts are decorated with seasonal flowers such as Kawazu cherry blossoms, rhododendrons, and hydrangeas, making it an ideal environment for visiting graves. The cemetery is located behind the main hall, in a scenic hilly area, and is a place of quiet tranquility.
