If you like/know japanese denim, ignore all the negative reviews for this shop, they probably come from tourists expecting stock like at Uniqlo.To keep it short: the shopkeeper is super friendly and helpful with everything and all positive with us.As with artisanal products, stock and sizes are just limited to what is currently available.Our visit was super cool and the chatting with the shopkeeper was a lot of fun and very friendly and we luckily found a pair that fit.Thank you 👖

Now probably our favorite denim store in Tokyo.PBJ is well-present at most online shops, but this store is well worth the visit as you will be able to find merch that is not readily available anywhere else. And it does not look like the Harajuku store (or the PBJ website for that matter) ships overseas.They will have some shirts and maybe some jackets hanging in the front entranceway, with the jeans/pants in another room deeper in as you make your way through the shop.And beware - the store is tiny. Maybe it will fit 3 or 4 of us overweight Americans, and there is only one fitting room. Be sure to take off your shoes as you enter the fitting room - we of course ignorantly embarrassed ourselves as we tried stuff on.On the day we were there, nobody else was in the store and we got to look through all the merchandise at our leisure....and consequently ended up dropping a significant amount of Yens.Service was great, even with our broken and shamefully kiddy-level Japanglish. This is a must-visit denim temple in Tokyo. Yes, we are biased.

Being an overseas resident, it was hard to purchase this brand like most Japanese brands. After many years of wanting to try a pair, I was finally able to pay a visit on my vacation.The store and service did not disappoint. Very knowledgeable staff who was able to speak English. The texture of the denim is slubby and soft. Made a purchase on the xx-019 14oz. The fit is a bit smaller than regular vanity size, so size up one. Custom hemming done within 2 hours, which gives you time to explore the rest of Harajuku/Aoyama area.I have been wearing them since my purchase, and they have softened nicely. Will definitely go back and make another purchase!

Minako helped me pick out a pair of deep indigo jeans. Helped me find the right cut and size that worked for me. Took the time to show me what fades to expect. I tried on a few pairs and sometimes it was the same cut and size just a different wash but she wanted me to try them to make sure. I find it says a lot when a store really encourages you to try their products. I actually wanted to get a second pair that required hemming but I was pressed for time. Minako kept in touch by email to try and coordinate with me as their person that does the hemming was unavailable. It didnt work out timing wise but the effort was there. Thank you for such a great experience Minako and I'll be back next time I'm in Japan.

Ein Freund empfahl mir diesen kleinen Jeans-Laden. Die Auswahl ist zwar klein aber alles in sehr hoher Qualität. Die Preise sind zwar höher aber ich habe mir eine Jeans gegönnt und bin super zufrieden damit. Der Jeans-Stoff ist etwas dicker als man es gewohnt ist und anfangs etwas steiff aber nach ein paar mal tragen passt sich der Stoff an und wird weicher. Die Sachen sind auch nicht so ausgeflippt wie in einigen anderen Läden in der Umgebung, was mir selber sehr zusagt. Die Lady hinterm Tresen war sehr freundlich und hat mich sehr gut auf Englisch beraten. Sie erzählte mir auch, dass man die Jeans auch in einem Laden in Berlin zu bekommen sind.
