深泥池の特徴
深泥池は周囲1.5kmで、多様な生態系が残る貴重な自然環境です。
古代以来、存在する歴史的な池で、修学旅行生が訪れる観光スポットです。
住宅街のなかにポツンとあり、静かな雰囲気で自然を楽しめる場所です。
深夜の3時頃、この池の前を通ったら、鹿が3匹、池の浅瀬にいて、目が合った。すぐに逃げていったが、鹿にも愛されているのだろう。夜は神秘的な感じがする池だ。

2023年5月10日、午後訪問京都市、上賀茂にある池当日は自転車で池の畔に行き景色を眺めやしたよ白の菖蒲？がとてもキレイやったさあ。
京都市北区上賀茂にある池。特異な生態系を有し、「深泥池水生植物群」は国の天然記念物に指定されています。池の姿がよく眺められるのはおもに南西側の池畔からですが、その奥に湿地帯のような場所がずっと先まで広がっています。池の東側の道は、近年問題になっているシカの食害防止のため、鹿よけのゲートが設置されています。一方、池の西側は車道（市道岩倉上賀茂線）になっていますが、歩道がない狭い道で、車の通行も非常に多いので、歩行には十分注意が必要です。
綺麗な池なのに、名前が怖すぎです。
ふらりと深泥池に行った。二度目のほうもんである。本日は、管理者らしきおじさんが、ボートに乗って作業してた、ここにはいろんな珍しい生物が生息してるんだろなー。
住宅街の中にある池です。平日深夜(1:30頃)でも結構車が通っています。ジョギングしてる若い子もまぁまぁいてます。
深泥池（みぞろがいけ）は，京都盆地の北にある周囲1．5km，面積9haの小さな池です。この池には，西日本の平坦地では珍しい浮島があります。また，氷河期以来の動植物が今も生き続けるとともに多くの水生植物，昆虫，魚類，野鳥等がいます。この池の水生植物群落を保護するため，昭和2年に国の天然記念物に指定されました。昭和63年には生物群集全体が対象になりました。浮島と高層湿原（ミズゴケ湿原）深泥池に広がる高層湿原深泥池の南側から水域を隔てた池の中央部分に、池全体の3分の1を占める浮島が存在する。この下には水の流れがあり、島が池に浮いていることが確認されている。この浮島は、標高が水面とほぼ等しいほか、窒素やリンなどの無機塩類がほとんど含まれない貧栄養性の湿原が広がる。ここでは有機物の分解が進まず、枯死した植物が堆積していくために、コケ類を始め多様な植物が生育する絶好の場となっている。浮島は夏になると浮かび上がり、冬には沈んで冠水する動きを見せる。この特徴により、多様な植物が生育している[34]。ミツガシワやホロムイソウのような寒冷地に分布する植物や、ジュンサイのような各地に自生する植物、タヌキモ (en) やモウセンゴケのような食虫植物、オオミズゴケ、ハリミズゴケ、ヌマガヤ（学名：Moliniopsis japonica）、イヌノハナゴケといった高層湿原（ミズゴケ湿原）の構成種が共存している。60種ものトンボが生息しており、これは、日本に分布するトンボが約200種いるなかでその4分の1以上が当地域に分布していることを意味する。また、フナ、ヨシノボリ、スジエビ、クサガメ、ニホンイシガメなどの池に生息する動物や、ヒドリガモやルリビタキを始めとした、晩冬期を中心に170種の野鳥の飛来が確認されている[37]。1930年（昭和5年）には、日本で初めてミズグモが発見されるなど、希少動物にとっての数少ない生息地でもある。（出典：ウキペディア）Midorogaike is a small pond with a circumference of 1.5km and an area of in the north of the Kyoto Basin. 多くの方が協力して、環境が維持されていると感じます。常に人がいますが、遊歩道のほうは、若干怖い感じ。また行っても、あまり見るべきものもありません。(アオサギさんが眺めているのが、ミツガシワどすえー）

周辺のオススメ
大昔から京都では著名な心霊スポットと呼ばれますが、字面のせいでしょうか、根拠を聞いた記憶がありません。そんなどうでもいい情報より、極めて貴重かつ特異な高層湿原かつ浮島をという失われては取り戻せない環境であることです。京都市が周辺地を追加で買い取るとのことで保護や啓発が強まればと思います。
