I typed in tea house to Google maps not sure what I might find. My map steered me to a quaint neighborhood off the main road from yokota. The tenant was a nice young girl who was so very friendly. She made me green tea as I entered and offered treats. After determining I knew very little Japanese she happily brought over her laptop to better communicate. We determined the best tea for me to try. I found that all the tea is grown locally nearby on her farm. After buying a few things, I was then even offered veggies to take home for dinner! This is definitely a beautiful and friendly shop to visit. Much less overwhelming than some of the larger busier markets. For an intimate quiet buying experience I recommend.
