Beautyfull place, beatyfull handcraft staffs, very very nice experience, very good price, place must visit in Takayama, Hiriko is a excellent artisans and very nice person, highly recommended

This is my first trip to Japan and I was lucky enough to find this amazing shop that Hiroko-san has run for 45 plus years. I visited twice during my time in Takayama and I can say that my time in her store will probably be my best memory. She was incredibly helpful, and answered all my questions to the best of her ability despite not speaking much English nor I speaking much Japanese. Despite taking up so much of her time she was still happy to explain any new questions I had. She is truly a one of a kind person. She has an assortment of weaves, broaches, charms, and bags she has all done by hand. She also has a beautiful collection of Hina dolls, traditional dolls, old fabrics, and so much more amazing things. You have to check out her store if any of this sounds interesting to you, and make sure you thank her! I hope for the best for Hiroko-san, and that she is successful.
