This dormitory is so peaceful. Located near the Shirakawa river, it's really beautiful during dawn and dusk. You can find 7-eleven just by a 5-minute walk towards East, just go left from the gate.
Nice atmosphere. A little bit far from Honjo campus. Need to spare time for going to University.

My family and I lived here for a full year, and it remains one of the most treasured chapters of our lives. Being able to come to Japan on a full scholarship from the Japanese government was truly a gift—an opportunity that opened doors, broadened our world, and allowed us to experience life in Kumamoto with dignity and gratitude.International House became much more than accommodation. It was a warm, supportive community where we felt welcomed from the very first day. We met people from around the world, shared stories and meals, and watched our child grow in an environment filled with kindness and curiosity. The peaceful surroundings, the river nearby, and the gentle rhythm of daily life made this place feel like home.Looking back, our year here shaped us in ways we will carry forever. We are deeply thankful—for the scholarship that made this journey possible, for the staff who supported us, and for the friendships and memories that continue to stay with us.
