Fantastic hair salon five minutes' walk from Hiro-o Station. The staff are very experienced and attentive stylists who speak excellent English, and are adept at any style of haircut or treatment. Great atmosphere with FIP playing on the radio for any French who are feeling homesick! The best hair salon I have been to in Tokyo by far. Highly recommended.
I love this place. It’s hidden so took me awhile to notice it as I live nearby. But the staff are so kind, patient, and talented. My cut and color turned out perfect and my stylist really listened to want I wanted. Cannot recommend enough! Both stylists are so talented you will be in great hands with either one. And of course they speak English!
オーナーの高井さんのカットやカラー等のセンスが良いので長年通っています。人柄も謙虚で誠実、信頼のおける人です。もう一人のスタッフ豊さんも親切で話しも面白く会話が弾み、それも楽しみの一つになっています。店内はおしゃれで清潔。居心地の良いお薦めのサロンです。
This place was amazing. Called last minute and got an appointment for my girlfriend. Shes struggled with finding anyone in europe to do a good style for her for years. We came last night and they spoke really good English, and they were able to give her an amazing hair style. They are amazing and very friendly. 10/10. From the American and Spanish couple
Had a great session with Yuta yesterday. He listens to your needs and can recommend his own ideas for how to look your best. I walked out with a clean, new look for Spring.Yuta also showed great attention to detail while working with my 5 year old, who needed a complete makeover after a disastrous cut with a previous barber. Yuta is patient and great with kids. Can’t recommend him enough!
I can’t recommend Yuta enough at A Cut Above! I went in for a keratin hair treatment, and the results totally blew me away. My hair has never felt this smooth or healthy, it’s a game changer. On top of that, Yuta gave me a complimentary haircut that really tied everything together. He’s a true professional who takes the time to make sure everything’s perfect, and his English is excellent, so communication was a breeze. If you’re looking for a top-notch hair treatment and amazing service in Tokyo, definitely go see him! You won’t regret it!
Great salon! Yuta took the time to talk me through a few options during my consultation, and suggested an approach that let me keep my wavy texture while reviving my dry hair and deep cleansing my scalp. Will be back any time I'm in Tokyo!

I got my hair dyed and haircut before and it turned out awesome! He is really skilled one and even speak English if you are in need of English hairdresser! I had an amazing experience at this salon! I booked hair coloring, keratin treatment, and a haircut, and the stylist did such a great job. The staff were very professional and welcoming and I’m very happy with how my hair turned out. It was also fine that I don’t speak Japanese because the stylist spoke English!
