太郎坊神社の特徴
愛宕神社境内には、崇拝される太郎坊社があります。
天狗様として知られる猿田彦神が祀られています。

愛宕神社の境内にある、猿田彦神（大天狗様）を祀られている神社。京都の愛宕山にある、全国の愛宕神社の総本宮の御神体である大天狗「太郎坊」を祭神としているそうで どうやら滋賀県の「太郎坊神社」とは違うゆかりのようです（滋賀県の方の太郎坊は天照大神の第一皇子神）しかし愛宕にあるこちらの祠は、帝国大空襲で社殿が焼失しても残っていたとの記載がHPにもあり、さすが猿田彦神！強すぎる！と思わず手を合わせてしまいます。数年前に立て直し簡素な祠になってしまいましたが、あたり一帯がとても良い空気です。【2026,3,22参拝】Located within the grounds of Atago Shrine is a small sub-shrine dedicated to Sarutahiko-no-Kami, who is also revered here as the Great Tengu. It is said that the deity enshrined here is "Tarobo," the Great Tengu and spiritual essence of the head Atago Shrine on Mount Atago in Kyoto. This lineage is different from the "Tarobo Shrine" in Shiga Prefecture (where the deity is the first prince of Amaterasu).What truly amazes me is the history documented on the shrine’s official website: even when the main halls were tragically destroyed in the Great Tokyo Air Raid, this specific small shrine remained standing. It’s enough to make anyone offer a prayer, thinking, "As expected of the God Sarutahiko—His power is incredible!" 道案内の神様を祀る太郎坊神社。滋賀県の太郎坊宮(阿賀神社)と関係があるのかな？ お隣には稲荷神社と大黒社が境内社として祀られていました。
猿田彦神（天狗様）を祭神とする愛宕神社の末社です。
愛宕神社の境内にある猿田彦神(天狗様)を祀られていると末社です。元々は京都の愛宕山神社の愛宕太郎坊天狗、栄術太郎とも呼ばれ、日本一の大天狗とされています。
愛宕神社の境内社の一つ。境内の工事の為、仮囲いが設置され社殿は見えず・・・
