I've been in Japan for three years. Because of the pandemic, I only travelled domestically.The owner was very lazy. Hence the most unhygienic place I've ever stayed in Japan. The bathroom, aisle, even the blankets. The wifi password was wrong. It's cold. I like sleeping cold, so I didn't really mind it. But if you don't like cold, good luck.
真夏でも涼しいです。特にエアコンが必要だとは思いませんでした。宿にサービスを求める人には全くお勧めできませんが、安く静かに寝られれば良いだけの私のような人には向いていると思います。
they renovated an old noble's summer house to the guesthouse. We enjoyed early Showa-era style decorations...yes if you know how to manage with Japanese old traditional house, you would love here. They stand near by a convenience store and bus stand in walkable distance. They have shared shower rooms which are new and clean. wi-fi is available at the big lounge with 30min free.||but negative part is really negative, if you are not informed before.||The guesthouse is managed by 87-year-old lady. Although she is hospitable (and looks much younger!), you may find some difficulties to stay. Talking about us, she made a double-booking. We called her to confirm before we arrived there, but she could not catch our voices. She didn't want me to use a bathtub since I was an only female guest on that day. I was OK with just hot shower not with traditional bathtub as it's summer time. All are private rooms but you can hear the other guests snoring.||Overall, we liked it. I decided to introduce this guesthouse to foreign visitors because I feel their house is worthy to stay if you are interested in an old Japanese noble's lifestyle. but don't expect too much.
