My wife and I had an amazing dinner at the restaurant at A.I.R. Ruben and Lukas have really created a wonderful experience that is unique and is a must do if you're skiing in the Myoko region.
My husband and I had a delightful day at A.I.R Myoko. The rooms were cosy, clean, traditional yet modern. The mattress was especially comfortable and we slept well every night. The onsen’s looking out onto the ski run were very relaxing. My favourite part of the accommodation was the fire place in the living room, such a snug and inviting space. Breakfast each morning was lovely, we were served a delicious porridge or tasty Japanese traditional breakfast while engaging in friendly conversations with other guests. The staff were all kind and helpful and the transfers to and from Myoko Kogen train station were much appreciated. My only feedback on how to elevate the guest experience would be to provide transfers to the various ski fields in the vicinity.
This a ski lodge during winter when we visited, the room style is Japanese with futons. I found it super comfortable and a great location to the ski resort, you can ski in and ski out. There is a run to the front door and you can ski to one of the chair lifts.The restaurant offers a degustation menu with paired drinks. It is mostly vegan, however on the day we ate we had some fish on the menu. It is hard to tell it’s vegan as the food is delicious. The staff are so friendly and were quite a few Australian’s working there.The lodge is on the edge of town and it’s a short walk to the Main Street, where there are numerous restaurants, a couple of ski hire places and convenience stores. You could get most things without going further.
Had a sublime dining experience at AIR.Six course chefs table dinner, all apart from 1 dish was vegan (fish), and the swap out to Shiitake and Pumpkin was incredibly delicious and filling.Amy did a fantastic job hosting and explaining the sake and wine pairing. Love that everybody chooses their personal sake cup for the night.The beautiful long table makes this a social dinner without any fine dining stiffness. Diverse crowd, had interesting chats!Music was a 10 easyMake sure you show up on time!
Cracking set menu restaurant combining Japanese / Western fusion food made using loads of local produce from the area. Communal dining experience was great fun to share stories and experiences with other guests. Friendly staff who introduced and described each of the dishes as they were served. Recommend going with the matched wines.

This is the most beautiful place in Myoko.. after many years of going to myoko and “wishing we stayed at A.I.R.” we finally did and it did not disappoint.The staff are exceptional and I feel like we made friends for life after staying here ❤️Location is unbeatable.Nothing like riding straight to your door.Great attention to detail with the fit out!My favourite thing is the fire place in the foyer! Rare for Myoko and the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine.
