After a 3 week trip in Japan, I was staying in the area so that I could travel easily to the airport. I found this shop online and decided to squeeze in a trip before my flight. I am so glad I did!! Such a wonderful range of ceramics, at a range of prices with something for every budget; and the owner was so friendly. I'd been wanting to find a matcha bowl during my trip and although the owner didn't have any out on display, he got some out to show me. I was spoilt for choice in this shop and ended up taking two matcha bowls because I couldn't choose between them. I also chose a rice bowl and the owner was so helpful when it came to packing them up as I was short on space but obviously wanted to keep them safe. We spoke through google translate and his passion and enthusiasm for ceramics shone through. He also kindly wrote down the artist names and prefectures for me to take with the pieces. If you're in the area and are looking for some Japanese ceramics, I would highly recommend giving this shop a visit.

和陶器の店やわらぎさんいつも親切でお喋りも、楽しいロケ地にもなり、youtubeで店主も映り話が弾みます、ホームページを見てくださいお店は素敵な作家さんの陶器でいっぱいです昨年は今年の巳年の陶器飾ってます。来年は、午年どんな作品が並ぶか？楽しみです11月末には届く予定だそうです。
