Kiyoshu and Junko are very welcoming, hospitable and overall fun to be around. I did the swordsmith experience and can say that it was enjoyable. Kiyoshu is patient and does well demonstrating techniques and ensuring I made a worthy knife.The experience was intimate, personalized, and felt as if I was visiting my grandparents. Lunch was a homemade curry dish which was served with cold tea and snacks.While Kiyoshu does not speak much English, it did not stop us from enjoying conversation through google translate. His partner Junko does speak English and if the time arises where a translator is needed, she would come and speak to us.Overall the experience felt like an “off the beaten path” and immersed in the culture. It is worth the drive and at least enjoying the experience with the only swordsmith I know of on Okinawa.
沖繩南部的職人刀匠，靠近知名景點玉泉洞，主打琉球刀、小刀與武士短刀，工坊對面有停車位這次沒有預約，但很幸運店主剛好來開店已經74歲的刀匠仍然熱情地歡迎我們，並介紹店裡的作品每樣作品都是使用武士刀的原料手工製作，並且搭配妻子的琉球漆進行彩繪去年也有去台灣松菸進行展出，今年恰巧為開業40週年，因此以折扣價格購入精緻的琉球刀作為旅程的土產臨走前店主還招待我們到製作刀具的工作空間參觀，非常之好客熱情歡迎任何自駕的台灣朋友，參觀玉泉洞之餘可以順道去參觀，店家也有提供鍛刀體驗，不失爲一個有趣的行程。

とても素敵な会議です。金浜清洋氏の店を長時間探して後悔していません！それはすべての群島のナイフと刀の生産だけです！理想的には、彼は英語を話さないので電話をして予約を取るのが良いです、しかし、彼の妻はそれが存在するならば私たちに解釈させることができます:-)我々は非常に好評でした、価格は彼らが品質偽造のためにあるものです、議論がありません私は他の所で見つけることができない地域の典型的なkiridashiを残しました（原文）Très belle rencontre ;Je ne regrette pas d'avoir cherché la boutique de Mr Kanehama Kiyochika pendant de longues heure !Il s'agit de la seule production de couteaux et sabres de toute l'archipel !Idéalement, il est bon d'appeler et de prendre rdv car il ne parle pas anglais, mais sa femme peut nous faire interprète si elle est présente :-)ous avons été très bien reçus, les prix sont ce qu'ils sont pour de la forge de qualité, il n'y a pas a discuterJe suis reparti avec un kiridashi typique de la région que l'on ne trouve pas ailleurs

The knife making experience was truly unique! The swordsmith guided us through every step of the process, and we actually got to make our own knife.He speaks a few words of English, and his wife speaks a little more, but they use a translator app that works perfectly. Communication was easy, and both of them are incredibly kind and welcoming. It was wonderful to chat and learn more about his story during lunch.The showroom is also very impressive, we even got to see a katana he made, which was absolutely stunning.I definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Okinawa. It’s a perfect mix of craftsmanship, culture, and genuine hospitality!
