手袋が高価で購入できなかったが、貸してもらえるサービスがありがたかったです。
RITMO Snow Academy East provided excellent private ski lessons in English for our teenager over 4 days in December 2025. He learnt how to ski and had an excellent time. The teacher was brilliant - she was knowledgeable, kind and flexible to the needs of our teenager. Booking the lessons online before arrival was easy and getting started each day was simple & well explained. Our family highly recommends this ski school and believe the lessons are good value. The only school that is flexible with foreigners and appointments ! Hiromi-san is the best teacher ! She gave all of us separate advices on how to excel. Great balance of making it fun but also teaching us to be able to board alone.

Came in November as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids. They have English speaking coaches who are really friendly and patient. They can provide you with all the gear you need: jacket, pants, boots and skiis. Ski lift pass (RFID tag, just keep it in your right pocket as you line up for the lift) and gloves (you have to buy your own pair to keep) cost extra. Two sessions: AM (they ask you to go at about 8.30 to get suited up) and PM. Not cheap but the service and experience was good.

As first time skiiers, we booked an English speaking class but were a little disappointed to get an instructor that spoke little English. He could only really say a few key words with a lot of pointing and hand movement. Mainly he taught us how to slow down when skiing down the hill by shouting “big triangle” at us but didn’t really explain or teach us anything else, due to his limited English. He was however very encouraging and enthusiastic, giving my daughters the thumbs up and saying “GOOD JOB !”
This was a great experience. 3 of us booked onto the group lesson and as it was only us, the teacher was really flexible and managed to tailor the lesson to our skill level so we went up the mountain. Great value for a 1.5 hour lesson.I found the instructor really supportive that I ended up booking a private lesson with her straight after and she really increased my confidence. The lesson was slightly expensive but I managed to achieve what I wanted from it so it was well worth it!Thank you so much :) (teachers surname begins with I) I took lesson on Sat 20th Feb.

Had the pleasure to train under Anton for the past two days at Karuizawa . Although young, Anton is very detailed and experienced. He (speaks excellent English and) explained and demonstrated the steps patiently and repeatedly and shared with us many tricks to make skiing an easier experience. He also places great attention to safety and volunteers to ski in front of us to catch us if we fall. All in all, we learnt a lot under Anton and had a very enjoyable experience! We were able to conquer the blue slopes on the second day! Thank you Anton! We had an excellent time!
