I don't always write reviews but here's one that's worth it! Awesome small store, full of basic traditional woodworking tools. You can find: Planes, Squares, Chissels, Japanese saws etc. prices are good. I bought their smallest straight plane for about 12.000 yen (price in 2016), if you get more advanced tools price increase. Saws start at 50-60.000 yen. Very recommended for woodworkers!

Une très petite boutique mais remplie de belle chose. De belles lames (couteau de cuisine et couteau de poche japonais) à des prix très correct.Tous les équipements pour la menuiserie traditionnelle sont aussi disponible.Merci au propriétaire, je repars dans mon pays avec un petit morceau de japon
他ではなかなか手に入らない大工道具が売ってます。親父さんと道具の事などを話しながら過ごす時間も良いですよ〜
少なくなった専門店です🥺私は結婚以来此の店の、菜切、出刃、刺身包丁を使ってます。有る名店より、焼入れが個人的に良いです。価格帯も安価です。御所、に行かれた時よられては❗️ヨーロッパの方々がたまにみえてます。職人気質の旦那ですから、愛想は普通ですから🥺

He has a great selection of bench chisels, joinery chisels, block planes, and saws. Best selection and and prices in Kyoto. We went back twice and almost got him to smile the second time. :)
