Excellent tour provided by Mr Takeshi Sakae. Riding Brompton bicycles, he brought us to places that are offen overlooked by tourists. His explanation to each of the places makes this tour an excellent choice.Lunch, self paid, was excellent too. I will highly recommend anyone to try this tour out.

Our daughter arranged with the guide for a special tour for our needs as people over 60. The guide (& our English interpreter) were both knowledgeable of the area (just outside of Tokushima) We enjoyed hearing of the history, historical buildings (theaters) & seeing some of the temples. We were fortunate to speak with one of the priests (unsure of the title). He & his wife gave us much history of that temple, so interesting. Had a lovely lunch, and also a delicious coffee after our adventure. These young men went out of their way to make sure we had a memorial visit, We would definitely go back for another tour with AWA-RE if available next time we are in Japan!

A very special place with a unique character with quirky cafes, restaurants and high art exhibitions.We viewed the Monet exhibition made more dramatic given the environment and surroundings. If you are looking for a earthy Bohemian community, art and vegan cafes and enthusiastic Japanese young people shaping a different way, this is your place.and to top all this there is the Brompton bike to add evermore quirky, cool vibes I would now like to think of myself as part of the Brompton clan and we will definitely be checking out more tour with Takashi and may even repeat this one we liked so much.
